PrEP care | Equitas Health

Stopping HIV has always been at the center of our mission.

With PrEP, we have what it takes to get the job done. PrEP is a once daily pill that is 99% effective at preventing the transmission of HIV. At Equitas Health, we designed our PrEP Care services to make sure anyone who needs PrEP can get it and afford it.

Who is PrEP for?

PrEP is for anyone that wants to prevent HIV and is comfortable taking one pill once a day. Discuss your options with one of our TelePrEP providers.

  • I use condoms only sometimes or not at all.
  • I have had a sexually transmitted infection (STI) in the last 12 months.
  • I inject drugs or have sexual partners who inject drugs.
  • I have a sexual partner(s) who is a man who has sex with men.
  • I have a sexual partner(s) who is living with HIV and who does not consistently take their medication or see their doctor.*

*Did you know people living with HIV who are on effective treatment cannot transmit the virus to sexual partners? Learn more.

Black and Latina women, including cis and trans women, as well as Black and Latino men who have sex with men, have a higher chance of being exposed to HIV. PrEP can greatly reduce the risk of getting HIV if you are exposed.
