HIV Care | Equitas Health

We have built our mission and legacy on responding to the needs of people living with HIV.

Those needs have changed greatly since the early days of the AIDS crisis. As treatments became simpler and more effective, we’ve integrated specialized HIV care with:

  • Pharmacy services.
  • Dental care.
  • Mental health and recovery services.
  • Primary care.

It’s how we deliver quality, affirming, and low-cost Whole Person Healthcare to people living with HIV.

Let’s build a care plan that meets your needs – together.

Whether you just received an HIV diagnosis or have been living with the virus for decades, we will help you make and follow a care plan for a long and healthy life.

At Equitas Health, our pledge to Whole Person Healthcare means our care works for you. Not the other way around.

Living with HIV in the age of Undetectable=Untransmittable.

You can reduce your viral load (the amount of HIV in your blood) so that the most sensitive HIV tests will not be able to find HIV in your blood. We call this undetectable.

When you are undetectable, you cannot transmit the virus to your sex partners. We call this untransmittable.

You can protect your immune system, your health, and your sex partners by:

  • Keeping up your daily treatment.
  • Keeping up with routine office visits and lab work.

Why else is it important to keep up with your HIV Care?

If you stop taking your meds every day, they may stop working for you. This could put your immune system, your health, and your sex partners at risk.

That’s why we’ll work together to make sure your care plan works for you!

Our HIV Specialty Care includes:

  • Antiretroviral drug therapy (ART) and side effect management
  • Treatment of opportunistic infections and other HIV-related health issues
  • Testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STIs)
  • Testing and treatment for viral liver disease (Hepatitis B and C)
  • Referrals to specialty providers
  • Primary care if needed
  • Vaccines
  • Treatment plans to address HIV drug resistance
  • Same-day sick visit care*
  • Onsite lab draws and blood work

*Daily openings fill-up quickly, so call us as soon as you feel sick.
