Learn About Our LGBTQ+ Healthcare Services | Equitas Health

What is recovery?

In some settings, the term ‘in recovery’ means someone who is taking part in or is done with an abstinence-based treatment program. It can also mean someone who goes to support groups aimed at keeping you sober.

At Equitas Health, recovery services are open to all people. You may be questioning your substance use for the first time or working to stay sober. Recovery from addiction is an ongoing process. Wherever you are in that process, you are welcome here.

You deserve care and support without judgement.

At Equitas Health, we follow a blended and person-centered plan for each step of recovery that you take with us.

Recovery services include:

  • Individual counseling
  • Group counseling
  • Medically-assisted care
  • Support groups
  • “Wet” spaces for people actively using substances
  • “Dry” spaces for people who are trying to stay sober

How do LGBTQ+ affirming services support recovery?

Many LGBTQ+ people struggle to stick with their recovery, because care and support groups are designed for straight, cis people. At Equitas Health, recovery care is queer-affirming and focuses on LGBTQ+ experiences. You are not only welcome here, you are the reason we are here!

What is GraviTas?

GraviTas is our treatment program for people who use methamphetamines (meth, tina, crystal) and are interested in harm reduction or staying sober. GraviTas is a welcoming and affirming program for gay men, men who have sex with men, and people of trans experience. Learn more about GraviTas.
