On April 1, 2023, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will reinstate the requirements and conditions for CHIP & Medicaid coverage that they waived during the COVID-19 pandemic.
If you or a family member have health insurance through Medicaid or CHIP, you may soon need to take steps to find out if you can keep that coverage.
If you haven’t already received a renewal letter from your state’s Medicaid agency, here are some things you can do now:
You may be able to buy a health plan through the Health Insurance Marketplace, and get help paying for it. Visit HealthCare.gov or call the Marketplace Call Center at (800) 318-2596 [TTY: (855) 889-4325] to submit a new or updated Marketplace application.
Equitas Health’s Connect to Care services can help you find and apply for a Marketplace health plan that meets your needs.
To learn more about Connect to Care:
You do not have to be an Equitas Health patient or client to use Connect to Care services.
If you think you might need to update or check your contact info, you have moved in the last three years, or you have any questions about your upcoming renewal, call the Ohio Medicaid Consumer Hotline at (800) 324-8680. The hotline is available Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 8 PM and Saturday from 8 AM to 5 PM.
