Equitas Health is one of the largest LGBTQ+ and HIV/AIDS serving healthcare organizations in the United States. With offices in 13 cities, Equitas Health is a regional nonprofit community healthcare system that serves tens of thousands of patients in Ohio, Kentucky, Texas, and West Virginia each year through patient-centered, integrated, and cutting-edge services.
Equitas Health’s mission is to be the gateway to good health for those at risk of or affected by HIV; for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer/questioning (LGBTQ+) community; and for those seeking a welcoming healthcare home.
We are looking for Trustees with relevant experience who can also help us achieve our goals of equity, inclusion, and care for all.
We seek dedicated individuals who will support the mission of Equitas Health and guide the organization with vision and responsibility.
Board service goes beyond traditional volunteering and into the highest level of visionary leadership for the organization, assuming legal and financial responsibilities while serving as a community ambassador for Equitas Health.
Trustees will be expected to participate actively in monthly Board meetings as well as occasional special meetings. A least three meetings per year will be held in-person in Columbus, OH and the rest will be virtual. Trustees will also be required to serve on committees.
Please note that individuals serving on the Equitas Health Board of Trustees receive no financial compensation. Employees of Equitas Health and their immediate family members are not eligible to serve.
Equitas Health seeks candidates with an appropriate balance of skills and experience. Previous board experience is helpful, but not necessary.
