World AIDS Day 2022

On December 1, we honor those we have lost to HIV/AIDS by raising awareness of the gains in HIV prevention, testing, and treatment. Your commitment to helping us end the HIV epidemic inspires the work we do at Equitas Health. World AIDS Day is a chance to reflect and prepare for the work that lies ahead. Together, we will get this done.

Day With(out) Art 2022: Being & Belonging

A World Aids Day presentation by Visual AIDS. Being & Belonging features seven short videos of under-told stories of HIV and AIDS from artists currently living with HIV around the world. It will screen in 100 museums, universities, and arts organizations worldwide, including Ohio.

A World AIDS Day Town Hall & Celebration: Can we really #endHIV?

Find out what the experts have to say about ending HIV at this town hall event. Panelists include Phill Wilson, international HIV trailblazer and founder of the Black AIDS Institute. Cincinnati Vice Mayor Jan-Michele Lemon Kearny will serve as moderator.

Come and enjoy hors d’oeuvres and music from the 2nd Wind Band. We will also honor those lost to HIV/AIDS during a special memorial service.

A World AIDS Day Film Screening: Black Is, Black Ain’t

African-American documentary filmmaker Marlon Riggs was working on this final film when he died from AIDS-related complications in 1994. The film looks at sexism and homophobia in the black community and features Cornel West, bell hooks, and Angela Davis.
