Equitas Health Honors the Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Equitas Health offices and services will be closed on Jan. 15 for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Every year on the third Monday of January, we honor Dr. King’s legacy and impact on American history.

ATHENS

MLK Jr. Annual Silent March & Celebratory Brunch

Ohio University’s Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity will lead a silent and reflective march from Good Shepherd Church at 64 University Terrace. A celebratory brunch will follow in the Baker Center Ballroom on campus, kicking off a week of events and activities in honor of Dr. King.

Event begins with an interdenominational prayer at the Underground Freedom Center. Marchers will step off at 10:40 and walk to Washington Park, where events conclude with a FREE program at noon in the Music Hall, 1241 Elm St.
