2025 Art for Life Announces Chairs, Honorary Chair for Charity Auction

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Equitas Health is proud to announce the leadership team for 2025 Art for Life, Ohio’s largest charity art auction supporting HIV/AIDS care, prevention, and advocacy.

This year’s event chairs are Nannette V. Maciejunes and Gabriel Mastin, two visionary leaders whose work has transformed Ohio’s cultural and LGBTQ+ landscapes. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty will serve as honorary chair.

Nannette V. Maciejunes (she/her) is Executive Director Emerita of the Columbus Museum of Art (CMA), where she served as Executive Director and CEO for 20 years. A nationally recognized arts leader, Nannette spearheaded transformative initiatives including the Museum’s acclaimed Art after Stonewall exhibition and the launch of Loud and Proud, the first LGBTQ+ and Allies membership level in a U.S. art museum. Her leadership has earned CMA the National Medal from the Institute of Library and Museum Services and positioned it as a model of accessibility, innovation, and community engagement.

Gabriel Mastin (he/him) is a lifelong LGBTQ+ activist, community organizer, and survivor of conversion therapy. With a background in corporate philanthropy and nonprofit service, Gabriel has championed justice, inclusion, and healing within the queer community. He helped launch a nationally recognized LGBTQ+ membership initiative in the arts and has co-chaired major fundraising events supporting LGBTQ+ healthcare. His advocacy is rooted in ensuring equitable access to care, especially for vulnerable and aging members of the community.

Serving as honorary chair is Congresswoman Joyce Beatty of Ohio’s Third Congressional District, a tireless advocate for health equity, civil rights, and economic empowerment. Her leadership underscores the importance of community-driven efforts to end the HIV epidemic and ensure access to lifesaving care for all.

Art for Life will take place on Sunday, October 26, 2025, from 11 AM to 4 PM, in Columbus’ vibrant Gay & High neighborhood. The event features a silent auction across six premier downtown galleries and a VIP live auction at The Citizen, located at 51 North High Street.

Since 1989, Art for Life has raised over $8 million to support individuals living with HIV/AIDS across Ohio.
