Learn How to Get PrEP for Free and Prevent HIV | Equitas Health

Imagine a daily pill that can prevent HIV. Now, imagine it’s free.

Most Ohioans can get PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) free through a program called PAPI. Our PrEP Health Navigators can help you get connected to PAPI and find a PrEP provider, so that you can start protecting yourself from HIV transmission.

How do you get PAPI?

  • Have a negative HIV status
  • Live in Ohio
  • Make less than $72,900 annually (for a household of 1)

What does PAPI pay for?

  • Office and medical co-pays
  • Lab work co-pays (for HIV/STI testing and routine blood work)
  • Co-pays for meds that other programs do not cover
  • Medical services for people who cannot get insurance
  • Health insurance premiums.
