A welcoming and affirming treatment program for gay men, men who have sex with men, and people of Trans experience.

GraviTas includes:

  • A diagnostic assessment
  • Weekly group counseling (16 sessions)
  • Individual counseling (as needed)
  • Consultation with a psychiatric nurse practitioner

Treatment topics include:

  • Triggers and coping skills
  • Sex, intimacy, and relationships
  • Race and use, treatment, and recovery
  • LGBTQ+ focused care
  • Meth, the brain, and the body
  • Treatment is provided in-person (Columbus) or through remote telehealth visits.

Syringe Exchange

Visit Safe Point for access to new syringes, disposal of used syringes, linkage to care, and safer injection use education.

Which services are right for you?

Mental Health Counseling

Mental health counseling offers you online or in-person one-on-one or group settings to help you set goals and talk about life situations that overwhelm you.

Assessment Do I need therapy? Trauma and life changes can lead to worry and fear. If this worry keeps you from the things you care about you may need help. Treatment How can therapy help? In therapy you will name challenges, set goals, build strengths, and learn new ways to cope. Affording Care Is therapy expensive? We accept Medicaid and most private health plans. We also have a sliding fee scale for people with low income.

Recovery Counseling

Our online and in-person recovery services are open to everyone. If you are just beginning to question you substance use or working to stay sober we can help.

Assessment Should I be concerned about my substance use? If substance use harms your relationships or you plan your day around your substance use the answer may be yes. Participation Can I participate if I still use substances? Yes. We have counseling and support group options for people who still use. No judgment here. Healing How can recovery counseling help? We can help you practice healthy ways for stopping substance use and staying sober.

Support Groups

We offer online and in-person groups for people living with HIV, people in transition, people who use substances, LGBTQ+ people, and more.

Assessment Should I join a support group? When you need someone to listen, talking with a support group can help. Healing How can a support group help? Healing can begin when you ask for help. Participation What is the commitment? Support groups do not require a commitment. Come when you need.

Psychiatry

Sometimes living a full, healthy life requires medication. A psychiatric nurse practitioner can help you find a healthy balance through diagnosis and treatment.

Assessment Do I need psychiatry? Our mental health counselors can help you determine if psychiatry could be a helpful option for you. Treatment How can psychiatry help? Psychiatric medications act on the brain and nervous system to treat certain mental health conditions. Affording Care Is psychiatry expensive? We accept Medicaid and most private insurances and have a sliding fee scale for people with low income.
