Siema Eljack, MSW, is a licensed social worker. She received her Master’s degree in social work, as well as public policy, from the Ohio State University. She previously worked as a case worker for Muslim Family Services. A native of Sudan, Siema’s first career was in dentistry and oral pathology. As a first-generation African immigrant, she often struggled as a Black immigrant woman and longed for mental health care that addressed her situation and traumas. Her experience resulted in a career change and her interest in advocating for underrepresented populations. Outside of work, she enjoys fitness, travel, volunteer work, and watching crime shows on Netflix.
