Alex Shanks

Alex Shanks (He/Him) is vice president of Programs. He has more than a decade of experience bringing together diverse stakeholders and a proven track record for managing organizational cultural change and leading mission-centered, community-driven teams. He brings operational and programmatic success to the Equitas Health team through leadership of Prevention, Health Advocacy, Housing Advocacy, and the Programs Operations department. Alex draws on his lived experience as a trans man to inform his passion for creating a more just world through organizational excellence and empathetic leadership.

Outside of work, Alex relishes time spent with his family on their small farm in rural central Ohio.
