Behavioral Health

Often overlooked by society at large, behavioral health can be just as important to a person’s well-being as physical health.

Equitas Health seeks to care for the whole person, including their full range of mental and emotional being. As such, we offer psychiatry, individual psychotherapy and support groups.

Continuing our holistic approach to healthcare, we seek to treat the mind and body as one, covering the full range of your mental and emotional well-being in a comprehensive, caring and sensitive manner.

We’ll leave no stone unturned in our pursuit for a long and healthy life for you. We won’t automatically prescribe a one-size-fits-all approach. We’ll listen, and we’ll work together to develop a plan that fits your life. That plan could include talk therapy, a support group or medication. It could even mean a yoga class.

We know this journey can be long and winding, but we’ll be there with you every step of the way. We’re in this together.

Make an Appointment

Please note: There is currently a wait list for people who wish to begin services with our Behavioral Health Therapists in Columbus. Please expect an approximate three-month wait to see a therapist at our King-Lincoln Medical Center, Short North Medical Center, and Columbus-Clintonville locations. There is not a wait for new-patient appointments with Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners at these locations.

Before ever meeting with our psychiatrists, you’ll first meet with a talk therapist to determine if, in fact, you need medication for your treatment. If we decide, together, to take that path, we’ll work on a plan that fits your life, and we’ll check in regularly to make sure your care is consistent and still effective.

Support Groups

There is power in community. Because sometimes we heal best when we heal together, Equitas Health offers various support groups throughout Ohio.
