Protect yourself from COVID-19

COVID-19 is a disease caused by a virus discovered in 2019. It is very contagious and has quickly spread around the world. People can protect themselves by getting vaccinated against the disease, as well as getting tested. You can get vaccinated or get tested at Equitas Health by making an appointment.

Vaccination

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) says that COVID-19 vaccinations are safe and effective. If you haven’t been vaccinated, the CDC recommends you get a COVID-19 vaccine as soon as possible.

You can get a COVID-19 vaccine at any Equitas Health pharmacy, including boosters for ages 12+

Testing

If you think you have been exposed to COVID-19 or are experiencing symptoms, you should get tested. You can get two different types of COVID-19 tests at Equitas Health medical centers — rapid or molecular.

  • Rapid test results are usually available in your MyChart and/or by phone call on the same day as your test. If you have a known exposure to COVID-19 and your rapid test result is negative, we will recommend that you come back for a molecular (PCR) COVID test.
  • Molecular (PCR) test results typically take 1-3 days, and we will report your results through MyChart and/or phone call.

 

Please follow these procedures for testing:

Schedule a Pre-Testing Phone Call with a Nurse

Call one of our testing locations to schedule your pre-test phone screening. Our nurses conduct phone screens from 9 to 11 AM on the following days:

  • Cincinnati Medical Center | (513) 815-4475 | Tuesday & Thursday
  • Columbus – King-Lincoln Medical Center | (614) 340-6700 | Monday – Friday
  • Dayton Medical Center | (937) 853-3650 | Monday & Wednesday

The nurse will schedule you for a testing time the same day.

 

Sign your Consent and Voicemail Waiver Forms Online

Attend Testing Appointment at Scheduled Time

Testing is offered at the following locations. When you arrive, look for signs that direct you to the testing location. Testing staff will assist you.

  • Cincinnati Medical Center | 2805 Gilbert Ave. | Tuesday & Thursday
  • Columbus – King-Lincoln Medical Center | 750 E. Long St. | Monday – Friday
  • Dayton Medical Center | 1222 S. Patterson Blvd. | Monday & Wednesday

Testing appointments are between 11 AM and 1 PM.

 

Get Your Results

If you use the MyChart app or website, you can view rapid test results the same day as your test. Molecular (PCR) test results typically take 1-3 days to appear in MyChart. You may also choose to get your test results by phone.
