Mpowerment Programs

The MPowerment programs all aim to empower its participants and to be the visible voice for a marginalized generation.

By building up our social and mental backbones, we seek to inspire our community, serving as educators and advocates in HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention. More specifically, the MPowerment programs focus on empowering young men (gay, bisexual and trans) in communities all across Ohio.

Major components of the program include:

  • Project Space: A safe drop-in center where community members can socialize and be themselves.
  • M-groups: Discussion group for young same-gender-loving men with varying topics each week.
  • Outreach events: Prevention education, parties, social gatherings, etc.
  • Core Group/Youth Advisory Board: these dedicated youth leaders run the center’s marketing campaigns, programs and outreach.
